Environmentally Conscious Waste Disposal
We're often asked: What happens to the waste and debris after Scarborough Disposal Ltd. comes to collect it? And the answer depends on the nature of the debris.
At Scarborough Disposal Ltd., we pride ourselves on being very environmentally conscious and disposing of waste in the most responsible and environmentally friendly manner possible. We separate any recyclable material from waste—including paper, wood, metal, concrete, plastic, electronics, and computer equipment—and ensure it gets recycled properly. Only after removing the recyclables do we take the rest of the waste to the dump.

You might find it easier to ask: what don’t we take? We remove most items associated with clean-outs and home renovations, including metal, wood, electronics and more. You can see a partial list of what we take below, or click the button to learn more.

What’s The Difference Between Bulk Waste Disposal And Junk Removal In Toronto?
Bulk waste disposal with a dumpster rental gives you the freedom to manage your cleanup at your own pace. It’s ideal for longer projects, larger volumes, or renovations where the work stretches over days or weeks.
Waste Removal Services In Toronto Using Bin Rentals
Bin rentals are a self-managed bulk garbage disposal method. This makes them ideal for construction projects, renovations, or any job where you're clearing out materials over several days or weeks without needing hands-on removal assistance.
When Large-Item Pickup Makes More Sense
Junk removal services provide full-service large item removal in Toronto. This option works best when you’re dealing with bulky furniture or appliances, don’t have the time or ability to load a bin, or need fast one-time removal.

Where Should I Place Roll-Off Bins Or Hook Lift Bins In Toronto?
Placement is all about access, safety, and protecting your property. You’ll want a flat surface with enough clearance for drop-off and pickup.
Driveway, Curb, Or Site Placement: What Works Best
Roll off and hook lift bins can be placed on private driveways, curbside with a permit, or directly on commercial job sites. Each option has its pros: driveways are convenient, curbs maximize street access, and on-site placement works for busy construction zones or commercial properties with space.
Clearance And Access For Roll Off Bin Rentals
Roll-off bin rentals require adequate clearance for delivery trucks. Allow at least 14 feet of vertical clearance and 10 feet of width, with space for turning or backing in. Planning access ahead ensures the bin can be dropped off safely and without delay.
Protecting Surfaces And Planning For Commercial Sites
Use wood planks beneath bins to protect driveways or concrete pads. On commercial sites, it’s best to avoid high-traffic areas and maintain clear emergency lanes. Proper placement reduces wear on surfaces and keeps your project organized.
How Do Bin Rental Prices In Toronto Work For Dumpster Rentals?
Dumpster rental prices in Toronto depend on bin size, rental time, delivery area, weight and the type of debris. We keep pricing transparent and offer expert help to avoid unexpected fees.
What Usually Impacts The Total Cost
In addition to standard factors such as size, location, rental length, etc, extra charges may apply for overloading, long-distance delivery, or special disposal items.
How To Keep Costs Predictable
Choose the correct bin size for your project, avoid mixing in prohibited items, and follow loading instructions. Sticking within the weight limit and ensuring we can access your site keeps costs steady. At Scarborough Disposal, we help you plan smart so your disposal bin rental in Toronto stays within budget.
When It Makes Sense To Upgrade Sizes
Upgrading to a larger dumpster rental in Toronto can save money if you expect heavy loads or lots of debris. It also prevents interruptions, keeping your project on track without waiting for another delivery.

Things To Know
All of our bins have doors that are on the back of the bin. Once opened the walk in height is usually about 8 inches. We deliver all of our bins on wood to protect the driveway or loading surfaces. If the driveway or loading surface is old and cracked and/or in disrepair, damage may occur. For commercial or industrial applications we can use wood upon request. FAQ
Renting A Bin Has Never Been Easier
How do you control dust and debris?
Are you insured?
Do I need a permit for excavation in Toronto?
Yes, most structural excavation projects (like home additions or changing foundation lines) require city permits. It is also required by Ontario law to contact Ontario One Call (Click Before You Dig) to locate underground utility lines before any digging begins.
What do you do with the dug-up dirt and concrete?
This is where our main fleet comes in handy! We immediately load all clean fill, soil, concrete, or asphalt into our designated 4-yard or 14-yard inert material bins and haul it away to certified recycling facilities, keeping your job site clean and clear.
Can you handle tight or narrow residential spaces?
Absolutely. We specialize in residential projects where space can be a constraint. Our team assesses the site beforehand to ensure we utilize the proper machinery (like compact or mini-excavators) to navigate tight driveways and laneways safely.
